August Wrap Up

The month of August has been surprisingly windy! The windsurfing equipment usually remained dry during past years; however, this year we definitely had some fun sessions. The ocean swell we experienced from Hurricane Dean was the wavesailing high point of the month during the first half of last week.

Labor Day weekend remains up in the air regarding wind conditions. All forecasts are calling for light air; however, there are a number of disturbances offshore in the Atlantic. Though if no wind, the surf on the south side will likely be firing this weekend. When we trek south for some time on the beach, I will definitely have to pack the surfboards along with the beach umbrella and cooler of brews!
