Punta San Carlos, Day Two
Yesterday again we had no wind, however a NW swell built into the head to a few feet overhead out near the Bombora, and solid chest high down at the east end of the Beach Break. Sunny skies, hot air temps and warm water made for a fun day of surfing and SUP. I included two surf sessions; One out at the Bombora riding some big Hatteras style top to bottom crunchers. Had some fun hold downs on the bigger wipeouts! The afternoon sesh was typical PSC style with the long crumbly lines and fun gentle rides! All an all a fun day of surfing; however after two days, we are all ready for some wind! Hopefully this afternoon after this morning fog burns off...
All eyes here in camp are on H Jimena which looks to potentially impact PSC later this week. The local crew though feels that the storm will likely turn before reaching us. Plus the colder water at PSC is not conducive for hurricane strength, so if anything we may get rain and a shorter period wave swell. We will take the swell, but hopefully the rain holds off, since this place is all dirt and rocks, and rain would make it quite muddy.
