Ophelia Weekend Surf Visit on the OBX!
Yesterday, fun TS Ophelia long period swell rolled in complemented by cool WNW winds to provide perfectly clean standard surfing conditions! The north side of Nags Head Fishing Pier saw a nice outer sandbar setup and shallow inside courtesy of the summer beach nourishment sand which has begun the migration back to the ocean. Many surfers were in the water donning full suits to protect against not the water, but rather the cool air as temps remained in the 60s for the day. In the water though, balmy 70+ degree ocean water made it quite comfortable to sit waiting for the next set.
Here are a few snaps from my phone camera from Sunday late afternoon at the NH Pier!
