December Round Up

During December 2006, the gear remained dry most of the month. Day one we had some fun conditions at Ego Beach; however, the remainder of the month was windless except for Christmas. I was out of town and missed those two days.
Hopefully, January will bring warm winds!

what's up kook, how about January?

What you doing? Still recuperating from New Year's Eve?

Ocracoke went off for a few hours yesterday per Charlie.

Glad i stayed home, this SW fronts are too unpredictable to consider taking a day off... Give us a 10 day NE.... Just like for Thanksgiving week 2006!

Seems like every 4 days we get strong S winds! See the WindGuru charts. Water remains warm, but yes these SW events are fluky and you really have to be in the right place and rigged at the right time to catch it.

Definitely not worth the 5 hr drive from DC solely for the wind.

No time off work for me yesterday as the wind was too unpredictable. I guess we shall see what happens at the next cycle.
