Hatteras Loop Fest Day 2

SW winds returned to the OBX today with strong 5.0m conditions! Dan, Keith, Dave, and I enjoyed Lake Atlantic surf, hazy sun, 70 deg water/85 deg air (trunks only!), and thunder clouds to the north. We were on the southern border of the storm, but luckily all we experienced was strong wind! The surf was minimal but a fun outside sandbar jacked up messy ramps and a few waist high waves. Great conditions for more FWD loops! Keith and I were taking spins while catching the action with GoPros. Keith had the boom mount, while I took out a Helmet Hero. No LoopFest participants on the water today, but Keith and I should have some fun loop footage captured for an upcoming video!

GoPro LoopFest Video Report:

Looks like more SW on tap tomorrow. If it ramps back up in the afternoon, we may have Day 3?!

Congrats on the great conditions. Let's hear about some new loopers! Wish I was there (I'm the wind dummy often enough, so I guess I could be the loop dummy) but we're trying our own festival on Long Island this weekend. Lighter winds expected, but the afternoon thermals may help us out.

Best luck this weekend!
