Hatteras Wave Jam Tropical Edition Scored!!

Wave Jam 2009 scored in Hatteras with two solid days of NE and ENE wind!! Sail sizes ranged from mid 5 meter down to mid 4 ms! We has some solid side-on conditions both at Lifeguard Beach in Buxton, and at the Frisco Bath House! With a total of 20 Jammers on the water, it was quite a show! We ran all the heats for the 2nd Annual Beast of the East Wave FaceOff, and scored with both Pro/Expert and Amateur places. Rankings were as follows:

Pro/Expert Division:
1st Place: Keith McCulloch
2nd Place: Andy McKinney
3rd Place: Ian Stokes

Amateur Division:
1st Place: Ken Kellar
2nd Place: George Markopoulos
3rd Place: Donald Obst

Additionally the Jam also included the following People's Choice Awards:

- Choice Wave Andy McKinney

Friday night, Sailworld and Andy McKinney hosted the Wave Jam Clinic. The gathering was a huge success with eager participants and lots of sponsor prizes! Congrats to Jess Goyanko who took home the grand prize GoPro Helmet Hero Wide camera!
