Nights in Rodanthe... I'm In!

Today I got the call from the casting company for "Nights in Rodanthe" to be an extra in the film. Shooting begins next Wed, and is supposed to be a 12 hour day! The scene is rumored to be for a clam bake party happening ahead of an approaching hurricane. There may be some shots as part of the hurricane landfall itself; however, this is all speculation based upon what I gathered from local news, and a short conservation with the casting director during auditions.

All in all, it should be a fun time! If filming is in Rodanthe and wind is forecast, I will definitely take my gear!

PS: Also, did you all see that we have our first "tropical storm" to our south?! Now TD Andrea is located off the Georgia coast and is expected to influence our weather here, possibly Sunday?! I will be out of town, but the crew on the south side should have a fun time!

Did they go for your idea of the windsurfing in the background?

Hey Lano,

Well, the forecast is looking promising during the day of the shoot for strong SW winds and some surf?! If there is a scene near the ocean, I may have to rig up!
Though, hey if it is SW at 25+mph and the waves are head high... I may have to bag it anyway and go windsurfing?!
