The Windsurfing Movie Hatteras Premier

Wednesday night, we had an unofficial premier of The Windsurfing Movie in Avon. Andy M from Sailworld hosted the event at his place, and many of the local Hatteras crew were on hand to watch the action. The movie is superbly done and includes awesome wavesailing footage from different locales around the globe. The windsurfing history lesson is well done, with a similar feel to the surfing perspective viewed in Riding Giants. The soundtrack in The Windsurfing Movie is pure perfection and is my favorite aspect of the film. The vibe of the movie definitely appeals to mass audiences and provides a very visceral glimpse into the apex of this sport/lifestyle.

A buddy of mine here in Nags Head recently purchased a 42in LCD. I would love to see this film on that screen with a full surround sound system. 5 Stars ***** for this excellent windsurfing film!

I have access to a DLP projector that we use at work for buisness presentations. I could borrow it and if we can make a suitable screen, view the movie in a very large format. Maybe have it at the same evening as the premier of the BozWorks Baja movie.

That would be very cool! Perhaps Ride could host it, with an indoor or outdoor screening, once the season fully kicks in.

I thought we could show it in the bottom of that swimming pool on the bikers property, maybe do a joint promotion with a multi-family yardsale/swap meet in the afternoon and a movie premier at night.

Sure is awesome movie Bill...I purchased it from Sideoff.com and it came in couple of days. At home in 40" HDTV with surround sound it is 10X Awesome. Bonus secions (about 8) is worth as much as final movie. Hats off to the participants and makers of The Windsurfing Movie.

Looking forward to my two weeks in OBX Frisco starting 13 October. Meanwhile it happy Hudson River Canyon sailing for me.
