Two New Hatteras Windsurfing Blogs!

There are two new Hatteras windsurfing blogs on the menu with perspective from deeper down on Hatteras Island. First up is Andy McKinney's Lost in Hatteras. Started a few days ago, Andy has some great posts about sailing and surfing over the past few days, and is amped up for the Hatteras winter windsurfing scene in Avon. He and Stewart have been hitting it near daily! Check out Andy's latest post noting his first 2008 goal to complete a Spock 540 has been accomplished!

Next on the menu is Ride Hatteras' Outer Banks Windsurfing Blog. Started around the first of the new year, the OBWB provides additional perspective on Hatteras wavesailing, speed sailing, freestyle, and happenings at Ride Hatteras!

Both new blogs have been added under Local Stuff. Look for the "new" icons.

Finally...an end to the tyranny of OBX Bill!

:)

Hey we're getting wind up north (and I'm breaking in my new drysuit)...what's the water temp down there...60? Sounds brutal. We're sailing in 40 degree water thank you very much...

Hey Bill! Thanks for the link! I think it's important to note:

My blog is in no shape or form a response to some of the flame wars that have broken out here! I quite like your blog, and view it as a source of great local reports, and an all-around windsurfing resource!

My reasons for starting my own blog are purely for self motivation, and to create a sort of personal diary (something that I've never done in the past, but have been enjoying immensely). The motivation factor is simple- If I write everything down, it creates a more solid foundation for tracking improvement and therefore creates motivation to succeed! It's easy to make excuses in life, to put things off, to wait for tomorrow... but who wants to broadcast to the world that they didn't do anything fun or personally progressive today? Not me!

So keep up the good work, and hopefully we'll catch a sesh this afternoon! (It's almost 60 degrees outside!!) Thanks again!

Yea Andy, great blog posts and your January wrap up is quite an accomplishment!

You and Stewart likely rivaled our Maui bros for days of January 2008 water time, even if you had to forgo the trunks only!
