Feeding Frenzy!

Check out this video, Wind-NC Andy shot down in Avon a few days ago. Definitely some fish and birds in the water! Very cool winter beach scene on the OBX!

In windsurfing news, a recent Jeff Masters weather post noted a "Polar Vortex" forming during the second half of February. This weather feature, according to Jeff, will funnel the cold arctic air mass north and free the OBX for warmer temperatures to fill the islands. Additionally, the mainland US may finally thaw out! Looks like the forecast may ring true as warmth is on the charts with perhaps 70 degree air hitting the OBX late week?! Lots of yellow stars are aligning for some mid-winter windsurfing!

Finally, perhaps the gear may remain wet, and not frozen?!
