SW Week Wrap Up
This was the typical hot summer July week of SW winds here on the OBX. Nothing stellar, but yet some fun late afternoon sessions to mark in the calendar. The pick of the week was Monday with strong SW winds during mid-afternoon, and a gradual fade toward sunset. Tuesday was an off day with light SW wind. Wednesday, SW winds ramped back up and blew late. The following video clips were shot by Keith M at Canadian Hole on Wed.
Clip 1 is Andy from Sailworld showing how to do a Spock.
Clip 2 is Jim M with a jibe 360 thing.
Thursday, the afternoon winds ramped up again and the crew met at Salvo Ramp. We sailed the same waves as Monday; however, conditions were smaller. Winds were also lighter and hovered in the 5.5m range (20 to 22 mph).
Friday, no wind and rain all day.
