This week the winds have returned to the OBX, and reports note the waves are quite nice as well. If you are on the OBX this week, hope you are enjoying it! If not...including myself (I am in the Washington DC metro area, ugh!), well sounds like we are missing it! Though, the weekend forecast is looking great and I will be back for Saturday's sesh!

Sailed 5.5 yesterday on the Sound. The day began light so we took big gear out back, figuring the ocean would be a bust. But it kept coming up and coming up until late afternoon...I could have sailed a 5.0.
Am hoping for some wave action still!
Hopefully this coming weekend will deliver!
I'm not "there" but I'm near. Sailed 5.2 / 77 liter all day at Factory Point in Hampton, VA. Yippee!
I'll be in Rodanthe Saturday and Sunday, staying at a house called "Second Wind". Me and another guy are going to check out the ocean and sail it if it's not too scary.

It's not been too bad. Looking at it from the traditional vacation calendar, here's what I sailed:
Sat: 5.5, 4.7
Sun: x
Mon x
Tues 7.0
Wed 7.0-5.5
Thur x
Fri 6.2
That's much better than being skunked!
Meanwhile I'm still hopeful for Saturday in the ocean.
Today, I am back on the OBX! The 4runner is loaded, and it looks like there are some waves!
Hopefully, the wind will fill in to 4.7m range since my 5.3m is kind of offline.
