We have reached the final round of the 2008 OBX Beach Life Photo Header of the Year online contest. Seven heats totaling 42 headers were reviewed and voted on narrowing the field to the following seven finalists. These are the "best of the best" for 2008! Which one shines above all others for 2008?! YOU decide!

how about the voting breakdown on the prelim heats?
Hey George!
Well, after some recommendations from visitors, the suggestion to hold results until the end made sense. This will allow the judging for the finals to be based upon the pics as compared to how they stacked up in the previous heats.
All results including the finals will be posted New Years. At that time, we can view how all the headers stacked up though the contest heats and final round.

Header Six reminds me of dolphins playing in the surf.
"Dolphins in the Surf". That's a great description. I find myself wondering if people vote for the quality of photography which captures the split second moment in time, such as a rare capture in Header VI. Or if they vote for the stoke of the move. Maybe it's a combination of both. I guess we'll soon see.
I am a kite surfer and now I fele like a kite boarder. Nice shots.Kitesurfing / kiteboarding is not as connected.
