Ramp 23 Winter Wave Sesh, Bambuser Reporting
Yesterday, had a fun late day solo session at Ramp 23, just south of Salvo. Waist to chest high surf, though cold 40 degree water. Lots of sunshine, and strong SW winds on the beach. No gloves as the air hovered in the low 60s; however any time I had to swim, the water was quite icy on the hands! Everything else though remained warm in full vest/hood, 5/4mm Bare, and 6mm booties.

Very cool, Bill. Glad you're live again (and alive!)
too much wind noise bill!
Yea, a lot of wind noise, but perhaps that is a good thing?!
Better if it was "warm" wind noise! : )
May I suggest that you “surfer dudes” leave your boards at home and be on the beach Friday (2-18-11) at 6:33pm. If you miss the spectacular full-moonrise over the ocean - too cloudy - try again Saturday at 7:46pm. (Beach Bum Billy, Kitty Hawk.
