From the Video Archive - Wavesailing TS Hanna 2008

a photo of the action from the beach while filming. photographer: Lane DupontFound some unpublished video from Day One of Tropical Storm Hanna and wavesailing at the Cove! Its nothing super spectacular as compared to some of the photography from that session (see photo at left shot during this video filming. photographer: Lane Dupont); however, it gives a nice sense of the wavesailing, including one fun denial! The GoPro action is non-wide angle, however stayed tuned in 2009 for future Hatteras wide-angle action!

Yea, may have to wait until early Sept, 2009?! At least for the trunks-only warm air/water served with big waves version!

Though, heck they are calling for 10 to 13 ft seas tomorrow with gale force SW winds. 50 deg ocean water however makes it tough to risk losing the kit if a big hit is missed!? Oh well..., bundle up!

hey, you'll get no sympathy from me. The water temps up here are about 40 degrees!

I'm really looking forward to the wide angle go-pro. Having first hand experience of rushing to the computer to see the great video to only be a bit disappointed, "if only the camera was pointed a little more: down, up, left, right, etc." Wide angle should fix that and maybe give jump clips some height perspective. I hate having to tell the viewer that that was a pretty high jump. No, really!

PS
I really like the foamy swim for your kit in the video. There's something magic about that foamy section of ocean. But I like to keep my visits there pretty short!
