Break Out the Full Suit!
A chilly shot of NNW winds blanketed the OBX today, and brought fun sailing at Ego Beach in Avon. Winds spiked in the upper 20s with gusts into the 30s during the mid afternoon hours. I arrived around 3:00pm, rigged my newly repaired 4.7m, suited up and headed out! Charlie and Dan were out along with a number of visiting sailors. Chad too is back in town!
It took a little while to get used to wearing the 5/4mm full suit, but once dialed in, conditions were fun! Sailed until just after sunset as wave conditions improved. Too bad it gets dark so early now!
I took no photos, or GoPro footage since I forgot my cameras, but perhaps someone caught some of the action from the beach?!
